Description
ECG Cardio Pulse CP-1006
An ECG (Electrocardiogram) machine is a diagnostic device that records the heart’s electrical activity, showing its rate, rhythm, and strength, by placing electrodes on the skin, helping to detect issues like heart attacks, arrhythmias, or enlarged heart. It’s a fast, non-invasive, and painless test that provides a graph (the electrocardiogram) of the heart’s natural electrical signals, crucial for diagnosing various heart conditions and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
How it works
Electrodes:
Small patches stick to your chest, arms, and legs, connected by wires to the machine.
Electrical Signals:
The heart naturally produces electrical impulses that coordinate its beats; the ECG machine captures these.
Recording:
It translates these signals into a visual graph (voltage over time) to show the heart’s speed, regularity, and the timing of its electrical impulses.
What it detects
Irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias), Heart attacks (myocardial infarction), Coronary heart disease, Enlarged heart, and How well heart treatments are working.
Types of ECGs
Resting ECG: Taken while you lie down and rest.
Stress ECG (Exercise ECG): Performed while you exercise (e.g., on a treadmill) to see how the heart responds to exertion.
Portable/Wearable Devices: Smartwatches can take single-lead ECGs, but a full clinical reading by a provider is best.
